Whether Tobe Hooper was felt people didn't get enough of the humor in his original horror masterpiece, or was just tired of people asking him to give them more of the same work over again, or whether he was simply inspired, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is operating on a 100% different vibe than its predecessor.

A high-camp splatstick horror-comedy, Hooper recasts Leatherface as the sexually repressed fail-son of his serial killer clan, holed up in an Alamo-themed amusement park. It's loud and obnoxious and honestly really damn funny. A wild and weird genre-crossing gem if movies like Army of Darkness and Braindead hit your vibe dead on.
