Freeway | 4K UHD+Blu-ray

It's hard to know where to start with a movie like Freeway. Ostensibly a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, this fairy tale runs so far off the rails that any idea of any concept of fantasy or whimsy should be abandoned immediately at the door.

Matthew Bright's urban crime narrative is a bitingly funny and deeply cynical trip through urban LA and the American justice system. Reese Witherspoon has never been more funny or more out of place, playing streetwise high school student and prostitute Vanessa Lutz. Likewise Kiefer Sutherland as the Freeway Killer, Bob Wolverton, brings in one of the most unhinged performances of his career.

A score by Danny Elfman, some wild and weird opening title animations, and a script that will have you laughing despite yourself. Freeway is a whole entire trip. And if it doesn't go far enough for you, there's always Freeway 2: Confessions of a Trick Baby.
