Dark Angel | Collector's Edition | 4K UHD+Blu-ray

Dolph Lundgren may be nobody's idea of a dexterous actor, but throughout a career of medium and low-budget action cinema, he has often been a surprisingly committed one. Give him a creative story with a quippy script and he'll meet the material head on with full enthusiasm.

In a 'never in my life would I have expected it' paring with Brian Benben (of Dream On fame), Lundgren stars as detective Jack Caine—a hard fighting, take-no-nonsense cop on the mean streets of Houston. Faced with an invasion of intergalactic drug lords, Caine has no choice but to fight off the alien invaders any way he can.

A terrific score from Miami Vice composer Jan Hammer adds a ton of atmosphere to this strange little slice of sci-fi cinema. Doesn't exactly do anything new, but if you're in search of an under the radar 90s gem, you could do a lot worse than Dark Angel.
